MSAD 55 is seeking a dynamic special education teacher at Sacopee Valley High School.  

Responsibilities will include: 

• Supporting students with behavioral needs
• Collecting and utilizing behavioral and academic data to inform interventions and instruction
• Providing specialized designed direct instruction 
• Supervising educational technicians
• Completing special education documentation in a timely and accurate manner

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to collaborate and communicate with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents
• Be energetic and enthusiastic in supporting students
• Knowledge and/or experience working with students with behaviors  
• Experience building positive relationships with students 
• Experience supporting student success in-class and during direct instruction
• Be Safety Care trained
• Current Maine 7-12/6-12 Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification (282)
