COME JOIN OUR TEACHING TEAM! Work with toddlers and young preschoolers with a research-based curriculum and lots of support.  Perfect job for a first-time or beginning teacher – manager on site to help with training! Our team includes assistant teachers, ed techs, speech and occupational therapists, clinicians, and behavior analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Childhood Development, Early Childhood Education or Specialist Education, or one of the following related fields: Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Child Development, special Education, Mental Health, Human Services, Human Development, Social and Behavioral Sciences, or Behavioral Health.
  • Eligible for Ed Tech III certification or Department of Education 282 Endorsement for birth – 5 year olds.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience with preschool age children or young children with special needs preferred.
  • Experience working with families and supervising staff required.
  • Must obtain agency provided CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire.
  • Must obtain agency provided Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain agency provided BHP certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift at least 50 pounds or ¼ of own bodyweight, and push and pull against potential resistance.
  • Adequate vision, reading, writing and documentation skills, and hearing to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over extended periods.
