The University of Maine Farmington is seeking applicants for its 2018 Summer Upward Bound Program. 

Upward Bound is a federally funded educational opportunity program that seeks to provide support to low income high school students who will be the first in their families to attend college.

Residential and non-residential positions are available. Residential staff members have responsibilities in all areas of the program from Sunday evenings through Friday afternoon. Salary includes room and board for residential positions. The summer program begins June 18 and continues through August 3. Math Instructor
Math Teaching Assistant
Foreign Language Instructor
Success Seminar Instructor
Outdoor Recreation Instructor
Career Development Instructor

Please specify which position you are applying for in your cover letter. 

A bachelor’s degree and teaching experience is required for instructor positions (preference given to those candidates who are certified or who are eligible for certification).  At least two years of college, excellent academic skills, and knowledge and proven ability in the subject area are required for all other positions.  Experience working with high school students is preferred for all positions.  A valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the past two years is preferred.
