Salary Range: $15.34 - $20.35
SUMMARY: Assists the classroom teacher and/or ELL teacher in carrying out duties necessary to provide additional academic and language support to ELL students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee related information.
Introduce new learning, pre-planned in collaboration with the classroom teacher and/or English language learner teacher.
Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher(s).
Assists instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
Meet with program supervisor on a regular basis to share information and discuss student progress.
Conduct one-on-one or small groups with indirect professional supervision.
Maintains discipline in the absence of the teacher
Helps ELL students access instruction provided by the classroom and/or ELL teacher.
Participates in professional development in order to remain current about the latest language, literacy and mathematics research, strategies and best practices.
Supports home school communication by assisting school staff in contacting and supporting families as needed.
Some supervision of students when the teacher is temporarily absent

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 90 credit hours, experience in a classroom setting, and leadership experience
