Salary: $83,573 - $102,250
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the administration of the total school program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as administrative head of the school in the absence of the principal.
Works with guidance counselors.
Administers a program of student discipline and interacts with students to encourage positive performance.
Monitors pupil attendance.
Deals with truancy issues.
Assists with staff evaluation and supervision.
Manages building staff, including class schedules and building problems.
Assists with and supervises staff attendance and assignment of substitute teachers.
Assists scheduling and supervising special events during the school day.
Assists with preparation of teacher and student handbooks.
Assists with coordinating the development of the master teaching schedule.
Administer over PET’s
Assists with formation of school budget, ordering and distribution of supplies and equipment.
Provides general supervision to students. Supervises extra curricular activities.
Maintains relationship with parents and community.
Supervision of employees in the Elementary Schools. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Education, teaching and/or administrative experience preferred.
