Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in the planning, development, and implementation of our educational programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of early childhood education, and a commitment to creating a positive and enriching learning environment for children. The Program Coordinator will oversee program planning and development, curriculum implementation and development, staff management and development, collaboration and communication, enhancing the collective school impact, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Planning and Development:

This role encompasses leading the implementation of developmentally appropriate environments and activities and ensuring alignment with educational standards and the unique needs of children in all programs. Programs include infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-k, and some school-aged programs. Some detailed responsibilities include: Integrates the company's mission and values into all program operations, ensuring alignment with the organization's commitment to serving families and children. Ensure each classroom plans a well-rounded curriculum that includes cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development activities. Coach and support teachers in creating a successful learning environment using the RNA Room Set Up and Environment Guidelines. Ensure age-appropriate equipment, materials, books, and activities are used to enhance diverse learning goals. Oversee student assessments and portfolios. Oversee daily report parent communications through Procare.

2. Curriculum Implementation and Development:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students through effective curriculum implementation and development. This critical aspect of the role involves overseeing the execution of the RNA curriculum, ensuring its alignment with diverse student needs, and actively contributing to its ongoing refinement and expansion. Your commitment to translating curriculum goals into meaningful learning experiences will be fundamental in creating a dynamic and enriching educational environment. Some detailed responsibilities include: Ensure lessons are developmentally appropriate, making adjustments for diverse student needs. Monitor and evaluate curriculum outcomes for continuous improvement. Maintain well-organized storage of curriculum materials and manage budgets efficiently.

3. Staff Management and Development:

In the capacity of Program Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of fostering a positive and thriving work environment for our dedicated teaching team. The role involves strategic oversight, continuous growth, and support for our staff members, ensuring optimal performance in the field of early childhood education. Your leadership will be instrumental in providing orientation, recommending professional development opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of our educators. Some detailed responsibilities include: Ability to coach and demonstrate diverse teaching styles and methods while articulating educational philosophies that underpin and align with these various approaches. Conduct weekly check-ins with Lead Teachers to address curriculum, classroom management, and communication. Work with each teacher to develop a professional development plan and help them sign up for trainings to meet their goals. Keep accurate records of staff training, ensuring compliance with state-required hours. Contribute to staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Assist in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring staff.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

Develops and maintains good working relationships with state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate personnel. Collaboration and communication are at the heart of this role, where you will actively engage with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with RNA mission and values. Your dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive environment will contribute significantly to the overall success of our educational programs. Some detailed responsibilities include: Build positive and collaborative relationships with teachers, administrators, program coordinators, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of administrative matters. Keeping the teaching team organized, orderly, focused, attentive, on task, and productive during the day. Provide relevant content for presentations and present at staff meetings and RNA conferences.

5. Budgeting:

Manage the center's curriculum budget and act as a purchasing authority for the center to obtain necessary operating and curriculum supplies allocating resources efficiently to meet operational needs.

6. Contribution To Company-Wide Initiatives:

In the role of Program Coordinator, your influence extends beyond daily duties as you actively contribute to the collective effort of shaping our school's culture and fostering positive relationships. Your engagement in collaborative initiatives, support for the Center Director, and commitment to promoting a positive climate will be integral to the overall well-being of our school community. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a childcare or early education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with licensing regulations and compliance standards.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
