ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrate willingness to participate in all areas of the program.
  • Plan and implement curriculum for members to follow.
  • Work closely with Restorative Justice Coordinator to implement programming and support participants. 
  • Ability to observe student behavior and assess appropriateness, enforce relevant safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques.
  • Guide any member with behavior, attitude, or emotional problems, referring any serious problems to the Restorative Justice Coordinator.
  • Assist with all program activities and other activities as assigned.
  • Maintains safety and cleanliness of program area and equipment

Requirements

 KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High School Education or GED is required. 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of relevant experience working with youth

 SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a variety of groups participating (age and skill level) and provide necessary instruction to children.
  • Skills in problem solving.

WORK SCEHDULE: 

  • Varies based on availability & need – programs run Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays. 
  • Full time at 30 hours per week
