ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for running Merrymeeting Adult Education HiSET learning labs, teaching English Language Arts for high school equivalency diploma.
• ELA teaching experience required.
• Other duties as assigned.

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• Four-year educational degree with teaching/training experience.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Computer proficiency.   
• Proven ability to engage students in a positive classroom experience.
• Proven ability to be organized, understand and implement curriculum and communicate detailed and timely responses to student work.         
• Maine Department of Education Certification preferred, but not required.
