The Glenburn School Department is looking for an Instructional Coach/GT teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This teaching position combines direct student instruction, case management responsibilities, student identification, program development and delivery for students in the gifted and talented program with that of an instructional coach. The responsibilities of the instructional coach include providing ongoing embedded professional development in early reading, numeracy, and formative and summative assessment practices that align with standards based instruction and leading teachers in using peer observations to improve instruction. The successful candidate will have experience teaching students and adults, be skilled with using and teaching differentiation strategies, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate an excellent work ethic.
A current General Elementary certificate (020) is required and a Gifted and Talented certificate (690) is preferred along with current CHRC verification. Teaching principal or assistant principal experience is a plus.
