EMT BASIC INSTRUCTOR (.5 FTE)

Region 10 Technical High School in Brunswick, Maine is seeking an EMT Instructor.  Position is open until a suitable candidate is found.

 

Job Goals:

To provide a curriculum-based instructional program for skill development in safety and entry-level knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for patients who access the emergency medical system.  Upon successful course completion, student are eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs certification examination.

 

Job Description to Include:

 

  • Develop, implement and/or refine a program curriculum and scope-and-sequence based on appropriate, relevant standards and goals, including unit, instructional, and assessment plans  
  • Develop lesson plans and deliver instructional activities that facilitate learning in accordance with the program curriculum
  • Assist in the development of the annual program budget, and assure compliance with budget guidelines by establishing priorities and maintaining accurate records

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be eligible for provisional Maine Teacher Certification with CTE endorsement
  • Must hold Maine Instructor Coordinator Certification
  • Successful Maine background check required
  • Must hold or be able to obtain CHRC certification
  • Experience working in the trade required with working knowledge of relevant industry standards
