ELA Teacher for Grades 7-12
2025-2026 School Year
Qualifications: Valid Maine DOE teaching certification with proper endorsement
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Providing learning opportunities in the area of English Language Arts. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to provide customized, small and large group instruction for grades 7-12. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Regularly assess each student's academic and social growth, maintain appropriate and timely records, and prepare progress reports. Communicate frequently with parents through conferences and other means such as newsletters, email, phone calls. Administer standardized and common assessments in accordance with district and state assessment. Advance the vision, the mission and school improvement efforts of the district. Participate in parent conferences, open houses, and other required school events based on the responsibilities of the assigned position. Other job-related duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
Proper Maine DOE certification and background check required for all positions.
