Required Certification:Maine Certification in Middle Level Mathematics (300), Elementary Education K-8 (020), or certifiable in the State of Maine

The Kittery School District is currently seeking a highly qualified, certified math teacher to support 4th - 8th grade staff in the implementation of the mathematics program at Shapleigh School. The position will start in late August for the 2024-25 school year.
The ideal candidate for this position will be certified in Elementary and / or Middle Level math education, and have extensive knowledge of best practices in mathematics instruction. The successful candidate will work with administrators, teachers, and grade level teams to collect and analyze data, assist in instructional decisions in the area of mathematics, model best practices in mathematics instruction, and plan / provide professional development for math teachers in support of implementation of all math curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide supplemental instruction in mathematics to students who are identified as working below grade level, as well as students who are identified as needing additional enrichment in the area of mathematics.
You must be able to pass a background check through the State of Maine Education Department.
