Special Education Teacher
Surry Elementary School
Surry Elementary School (SES) is seeking a special education teacher for the fall of 2024-25 school year. The position has responsibilities of case management, IEP development, oversight of educational technicians, and development of specially designed instruction for students in grades K-8. The Surry student body is about 135 students across Pre K to Grade 8.
Surry is a beautiful coastal town outside of Ellsworth and only a short drive from both Bangor and Acadia National Park. Surry is located halfway between Ellsworth and the Blue Hill peninsula.
This position requires Maine DOE Certificate 282, or obtainable, and current Maine Department of Education CHRC (fingerprinting).
