French Language Teacher

Founded in 1984, Maine Coast Waldorf School serves approximately 260 children from parent/toddler through high school. We are an accredited Waldorf program with more than 35 full-time faculty members currently offering: two world languages, handwork, woodwork, instrumental and choral music, movement class and a variety of seasonal extra-curricular activities, including a vibrant cross-country skiing program.
Position: A full-time French Language teacher to hold the French curriculum for Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Qualifications, Salary and Benefits: Candidates are sought with experience with teaching children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade in French from a games, movement, and conversational-based approach. Candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree. Ideal candidates have experience teaching in a Waldorf school. Applicants must be dedicated to excellence in teaching and recognize the importance of parent education, self-development and collegial cooperation. Full-time faculty are offered medical and disability coverage, dental coverage, a retirement plan, 80% tuition remission and financial support for professional development. Our base salary is $48,630 plus increases for prior experience.
