Helping Teacher, science, grade 5-8

• Part-time in-classroom schedule assisting in grade 5-6 and 7-8 science classes. Helping Teacher’s schedule will be developed with the grades 5-8 science teacher and the HOS with attention to how to best serve the needs of students, teachers, and the school overall. 

• Show enthusiasm for middle school students

• Show leadership, knowledge, and positivity about the role of helping teacher

• Strong skills with the organization of physical materials; assist with lab set up and clean up

• Recess, snack, arrivals - the helping teacher is the primary teacher at these times

• Professional development/coursework in science activities, content, or curriculum development (paid by CTL)

• Photographs of student activities; transmission of photos to HOS/Office Manager throughout the week for social media

• Assistance with facilities jobs such as trash/recycling, wiping down, sanitizing

This position can be combined with other advertised openings at CTL.
