POSITION TYPE AND STATUS:
High School Math Teacher, 1 FTE

Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU 23 is a 700 student, three-school district seeking a Math Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following:

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Citizenship, residency or work visa.
• Maine State Teaching Certification #300 (7-12 Mathematics).
• Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/fingerprinting.

QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SUMMARY:

• Extensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
• Deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous, relevant, and engaging math instruction to students of varying abilities.
• Collaborates with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders and other stakeholders to promote and support student success.
• Experience and demonstrated success teaching a variety of mathematics courses.
• Ability to integrate technology to enhance instruction.
• Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom.
