This part-time (29 hours per week) position is open for the 2021-2022 academic year.Responsibilities include assisting students in grades 9 - 12 in all high school subjects and working with students in a variety of mainstream classes. Maine Central Institute (MCI) is looking for a candidate who is positive, flexible and willing to learn. Preference will be given to those with prior experience or training in behavior. The candidate must be able to work independently. The work environment is highly team oriented, so communication and problem solving skills are essential.
? Candidates must have at least 60 College Credits of approved study in an educationally related field ; additional post-secondary coursework and degree preferred.
? Candidates must hold current Ed Tech II State certification along with current State DOE authorization.
? Candidates must be able to climb stairs and lift up to 40 pounds.
? Candidates must be willing to be trained as per safety care and protocol.
? Proficiency in use of instructional technology.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with students, peers, and supervisors.
