RSU5 is seeking a highly skilled Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address the increased need across the district for highly specialized instructional and behavioral interventions and programming for students with complex learning, cognitive, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental profiles. The BCBA will team with the Director of Instructional Support, Instructional Support Leadership Team, and building administrators to enact continuous improvement of specialized programming and district-wide behavior support. The BCBA will support, guide and oversee specialized programs, and consult with school teams to support students demonstrating complex behaviors in other school settings. The BCBA will: coach and collaborate with teachers, case managers, behavior support staff, and building and central office administrators; oversee specialized program classroom management; conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA), functional analyses (FA), and work with school teams to develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIP)/positive behavior support plans (PBSP); apply progressive and ethical behavioral science, and leverage student’s strengths and interests to increase language, communication, and learning skills, and reduce and replace maladaptive behavior with prosocial behavior.

Requirements:

 

Must hold a valid CHRC from Maine Dept. of Education.

 

Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science.

 

National Certification as Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
