Our Children’s Services Head Start program has an opening available at our Chisholm Early Learning Center for a Center Aide. The Center Aide helps create a healthy, safe and fun learning environment for preschoolers and works as part of a teaching team providing support to meet children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development needs. This position may be responsible for maintaining records, observations and data on individual children. Other duties include sharing the responsibility for the proper care and cleanliness of the center. This position is 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Effective January 31, 2022, the Head Start Program Performance Standards, to which Community Concepts is contractually bound, will be requiring all Head Start staff to comply with its universal masking policy and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical/disability or religious exemption, in which case they must test on at least a weekly basis and have a negative test to remain in the classroom. To Qualify: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; experience working with young children required. Completion of Head Start Substitute Teacher Training, or be enrolled in or have completed an Early Childhood course of study is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must have basic computer skills and knowledge; considerable stamina is needed to bend, lift, carry, etc. Pre-employment physical and TB screening, SBI, DMV, DHHS, sex offender registry, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment. Must have a valid driver’s license and liability insurance.
