Overview: Marcia Buker Elementary School is a small PreK-5 school of approximately 200 students in Richmond, Maine, a town that Down East magazine lists as a Best Place to Live! It is certainly one of the best places to teach! Come join our excellent elementary team! The K-1 teachers work closely as a team to support all students’ academic and social development. We have the following opening: 

One-year, grant funded position for the 2022-23 school year

SUMMARY: Instructs students in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Maine teaching certificate in area of study required.

START DATE: August 29,2022

SALARY:  Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the 2022-2023 wage scale (currently in negotiations) and pro-rated from date of hire
