Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions

Position Overview

This position is for a recruitment professional who wants to be part of a strong and motivated admissions team with the common goal of meeting target enrollment and revenue on an annual basis. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, a competitive spirit and drive, strong relational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.

Reports To: Dean of Enrollment Management 

Direct Reports: None

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with assigned prospective students/families throughout the entire admissions process, from inquiry through enrollment
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20-30 days a year (domestic and international)
  • Cultivate relationships with key constituents (junior boarding schools, placement directors, educational consultants etc.)
  • Manage talent recruitment and enrollment; liaise with coaches, the Director of Athletics, and other program directors to help signature programs enroll mission aligned students

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 

  • Previous Admissions experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently, plan proactively, manage a complex workload, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate in a proactive, responsive, and professional manner
  • Interest in working in a student-centered academic environment that requires flexibility and creativity
  • Strong interpersonal and relational skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

  • Serve as a member of the residential weeknight and/or weekend duty team
