Part-Time  School Counselor

Islesboro Central School, a small and vibrant K–12 public school located on the beautiful island of Islesboro, Maine, is seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time School Counselor to support the social-emotional and academic development of our K–8 students.
This once or twice a week role focuses on providing direct support to students in grades K–8 through individual counseling, small group work, classroom lessons, and collaboration with teachers and families. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who can foster a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate school climate for all learners.

Qualifications:

  • Maine certification as a school counselor (075) or eligibility to obtain

  • Experience working with elementary-aged children

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families

Islesboro Central School serves approximately 65 students in grades K–12 and is the only school on the island. Our small size allows us to offer personalized education, close-knit community relationships, and unique opportunities for students and staff alike.
