Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center
Downeast Community Partners is seeking a Center Coordinator who will oversee services for the Ellsworth Early Care and Education Center. Up to 6 classrooms provide services to children in our Early Head Start, Head Start and Childcare programs. This is a 40 hour per week, full-year position. We are looking for an experienced early childhood professional with strong communication skills and supervisory experience to provide leadership, support and guidance to a team of preschool teachers and infant/toddler caregivers.
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with families, and other providers that interface with the program. Ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, and licensing regulations.
Three years experience in management, direct supervision and monitoring required. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Human Development, Social Services, Early Childhood Development or related field preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and effective communication skills required. Familiarity with local early intervention and community resources preferred.
