IT Support Specialist
Position Description:
MCI is looking for a motivated person to help support students and staff in all technology needs. This position will be full-time (40 hours a week) with on-call responsibilities.
Provide district technology support for Apple operating systems, iOS, Windows, and Chromebook operating system, digital student assessments and other laptop systems related to teaching and learning, as well as supporting district network and server infrastructure. This support may include, but not be limited to:
· Computer troubleshooting and repair
· Software, hardware and networking support
· Related administration, documentation and asset and inventory database management technology
Assist Technology Director and other staff and students in implementing based learning
· Use of peripheral equipment (digital cameras, projectors, document imaging cameras, etc.)
· GSuite, Microsoft Office and Creative Cloud support
· Computer training for individuals and small groups
· Knowledge of printer management
· Knowledge of LAN/WAN and WIFI setups
· All other duties assigned by IT Director
Educational Certification and Experience:
· Two years of experience in hardware repair or network support including a background in Apple systems integration and OS10.6.x or greater, Windows server management, user management, networking and other classroom related hardware support is preferred
· GSuite Administration, Apple Technical Coordinator, Apple Help Desk, Apple System Administrator
· Experience with Windows and Mac hardware, operating systems and desktop software
· School learning environment experience preferred with good customer service skills and ability to work well with students and adults is important
· Knowledge of Jamf Pro and Apple School Manager a plus
· Experience with Cisco VOIP a plus
Successful completion of the Maine DOE Criminal History Record Check is required of all MCI Employees.
