CESD is looking for a dynamic experienced educator to fill our new Extended Learning Instructional Strategist position. The Extended Learning Instructional Strategist (Gifted & Talented Teacher) will work with K-8 classroom teachers to meet the needs of and provide high-quality instruction to all students, including gifted & talented/ high performing students. Through consultation, co-teaching and direct service models, the ELS will collaborate to identify the needs of students, design and deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction, and monitor student achievement through an iterative, data-informed process.
Part of a three-member team, the ELS will contribute to providing direct services to the students who qualify for gifted services in grades 4-8 and 7-12.
Qualifications: Successful classroom teaching experience and Maine certification required; holds or qualifies for 690 endorsement. Experience teaching gifted and high-performing students preferred.
