Position: Ed Tech Special Education
Ed Tech II: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two [2] years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 60 hours of approved study in an educationally related field; or for vocational education, two [2] years of paid applied employment within the field of assignment. Educational Technician II Authorization (022), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate
Ed Tech III: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have 90 hours of approved college credits Educational Technician III Authorization (023), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate
Contracted Days: 5 days per week/7 hours per day
175 school days
Location: Boothbay Region High School
Date Position Available: 2025/2026 School Year
Position will remain open until filled
Qualifications: Appropriate State of Maine Ed Tech Certification through the State of Maine Department of Education.
Description: The AOS98 Rocky Channels School system that serves Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Georgetown, Edgecomb and Southport is seeking a dynamic, passionate individual to work as a special education educational technician. The successful candidate will have the ability to work positively and collaboratively with administration, staff, students, and parents; possess strong oral and written communication skills; and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills; and is dedicated to meeting the academic and social needs of our students. Experience working with students with a variety of special needs is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Support students in both the general education setting and the special education setting in either a one to one model or in small groups
- Work closely with the classroom teacher, case manager, and other related service providers to deliver instruction as necessary to implement the students Individualized Education Plans
- Help create student work materials according to their plans
- Accurately record data on child’s progress
