K-4 Behavior Room Teacher
The K-4 Behavior Room Teacher provides academic instruction, behavioral support, and classroom structure for students who require a more therapeutic and highly supported educational setting during the school day. This position is embedded within a program that consists of a clinical model overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs in order to improve access to education.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide and adapt direct instruction aligned with students’ academic needs, IEP goals, and school curriculum.
- Use proactive classroom management strategies and therapeutic approaches to support student regulation, engagement, and participation.
- Consult and collaborate regularly with the BCBA, LCSW, special education staff, related service providers, and administration to review student progress and adjust supports as needed.
- Support students in utilizing developed coping skills, problem-solving skills, self-regulation, and appropriate peer/adult interactions within the school setting.
- Communicate with families and school staff regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies to support success.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and other planning meetings as appropriate.
Maintain compliance with school, district, and special education requirements, including documentation and progress monitoring
