MSAD 55 is seeking a Grade 8 Middle School Science Teacher at Sacopee Valley Middle School in Hiram, Maine.  SVMS is a grades 4-8 learning community with approximately 350 students.   

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior successful experience as a science teacher or student teaching experience
• Experience building positive relationships with students and supporting student success
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively 
• Knowledge of differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners
• Demonstrated commitment to standards-based practices
• Current Maine 5-8 Science Middle School Science (340), 7-12/6-12 Physical Science Certification (350), or 7-12/6-12 Life Science Certification (395)
