Falmouth Middle School seeks an extended teacher substitute for a grade 6 Spanish classroom from approximately Sept 29, 2025 - October 21, 2025. We are looking for someone who is a collaborative team player, technologically savvy, and passionate about nurturing the academic, social, and emotional development of middle school students.
The duties of this position will include:
- Teaching four sections of 6th grade Spanish daily
- Coordinate with our other 6th grade Spanish teacher to maintain curriculum pacing
- Maintaining accurate records on student data
- Implement school’s Advisory programming as an advisor to a group of middle school students
Qualifications / Certifications / Experience / Degree Requirements
- A valid Maine Department of Education teaching certificate with the World Language (440) endorsement is required (or the equivalent)
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred
- Approved background check (run by the district)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree required. Experience teaching middle school preferred. Maine certification (or eligibility) required.
Pay for properly certified candidate will be $165/day. This position does not include benefits.
