1:1 School Nurse Full-Time

Regional School Unit 13 is looking to hire a Nurse to work 1:1 with a student who has specified healthcare needs. The candidate must possess or be eligible for Maine Dept. of Education School Nurse Certification (endorsement 524). Maine Criminal History Records Check is required.
RSU #13 requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and the Department of Education Certification Office requires that you have your RN Degree for a minimum of three years in order to be certified as a School Nurse.
Preferences:
- Knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development.
- Knowledge of nursing care for children and adolescents.
- An understanding of school heath policies and procedures.
- Competency in emergency care.
- Familiarity with community health resources.
- Desire to work with children/adolescents.
- Recent practice as a registered nurse.
