- Certification as Special Education Teacher necessary (282)
- Ability to complete diagnostic testing necessary
- Ability to write and implement individual educational plans required
- Experience working with children with disabilities necessary
- Proficiency with technology required
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team required
- Ability to implement Safety-Care intervention strategies necessary
- Ability to develop and implement behavior plans necessary
- Strong background in Reading and Math preferred
- Ability to collaboratively problem solve
- Experience with special education law and forms
- Ability to identify barriers to learning and to teach skills in academic, social, executive function, and emotional regulation areas
- Willingness to look at whole child, evidenced-based approaches
- Ability to support students in learning the skills they need to be successful learners
- Ability to use data-driven approaches to track learning progress and growth
