Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

North Yarmouth Academy seeks an enthusiastic early childhood educator for a full-time position as an Assistant Teacher in a nurturing Montessori classroom where learning is child-directed and focuses on increasing independence and social-emotional development. We are looking for a person who is passionate about working with young children and is eager to be part of a vibrant PreK-PG school community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, warmth and generosity of spirit, the ability to work collaboratively, a responsible and trustworthy nature, and demonstrated experience working with young children. Prior experience with Montessori and/or a degree in early childhood education or related field are preferred, but not required.

This is a full-time school year position beginning fall 2024 with competitive salary, paid vacations, and full benefits. The hours for this position are 7:45-2:45 in the classroom Monday through Friday, plus After Care until 4:30/4:45 three afternoons per week in. Summer positions may also be available for additional compensation.
