Are you a dedicated educator with a passion for making a difference through Special Education? Woodfords Family Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lead Teacher to join our preschool team in Westbrook, ME! This is a full-time (40 hours per week), year-round position that includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. 

 

Position Summary

The responsibilities of the Senior Lead Teacher include assisting the Program Director with educational programming, managing classroom operations in the Lead Teacher's absence, and providing training to new preschool employees. This role involves supporting new hire training, providing supervision to teaching staff, assisting in assessments and educational plan writing, and ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements. Additional duties may include attending IEPs and classroom meetings, supporting with curriculum implementation, and providing direct care as needed. 

 

Opportunity Details

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am-4:00pm
  • $57,000 annual salary - additional compensation for full 282 certificate!
  • $2,500 Sign-on bonus - paid at completion of 6 months employment!

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an early childhood field or a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant instructional experience
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Childhood regulations, developmental disabilities and childhood mental health disorders is preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred. Driving to/from fieldtrips may be necessary
