JMG is looking to fill our opening at The University of Maine at Orono (Penobscot County) for our next JMG College Success Specialist.
This position is a full-time employee of JMG based at UMaine, and working in collaboration with the College’s admissions and student support services and the JMG Postsecondary Team.
The fundamental purpose of the College Success Specialist (CSS) is to provide high-quality relationship-based instruction to a cohort of enrolled students from matriculation until completion of a credential of value or the student has aged out. This position will require extensive relationship building with continued education providers and employers, and a focus on bridging the worlds of education (both secondary and post-secondary) and private employers.
Key Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Skills & Attributes: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success supporting students with post-secondary support and career development
- Experience: Previous experience in education, career development, or related fields is preferred.
- Approval: Maine CHRC approval, or the ability to obtain it, is required.
The position will begin June 2025
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $43,750 per year, with additional performance-based bonuses.
- Paid Time Off: 3 weeks of vacation time, a week at Christmas, spring break week, plus one floating week. 2 personal days.
- Sick Leave: 3 weeks of sick time
