Cocoons is a very well respected early childhood learning center with strong environmental and Montessori curriculum components. Students who attend Cocoons learn to be thoughtful compassionate problem solvers, kind friends, and future leaders who are passionate environmentalists as they move through life. Student-teacher ratios are never greater than 6-to-1, allowing teachers the time to give ongoing individual attention to each child.

Work Hours & Benefits
Teachers work no more than 40 hours a week during the academic school year. Teachers have the summer off. With few exceptions, the school calendar replicates the local public schools, allowing for paid vacations and snow days during the academic year- September-early June. Each teacher is given a stipend to use for personal medical expenses and contribute to a retirement plan. Paid Continuing education is also a benefit. Teachers are paid on a competitive sliding scale based on education and experience.
