Description

EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN III

HCA has an opening for a full-time Educational Technician to work with students on its consolidated middle and high school campus. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an integrated teaching team and interest in project-based and place-based learning required. Experience working with special education students and a willingness to be an active participant on our multi-talented team is strongly preferred.

HCA embraces a project-based, placed-based and standards-based curriculum that puts emphasis on interdisciplinary content, cross-cutting skills, and carefully scaffolded learning for students who approach school in a wide variety of ways. Our teaching practices and school structures are based in Expeditionary Learning. Our Educational Technicians are active members of our full academic team. We use a push-in support model as much as possible.

Joining the HCA team right now is an opportunity to be a part of a school that is adjusting to the way we learn and work in a post-pandemic world. We are consolidating to our Harpswell campus this coming year to provide all of our students with a rigorous, project and place-based education with the full support of our school’s resources.   In this transition, we are looking for educators that are focused on meeting the needs of students collaboratively and creatively in a small school setting.
