Speech and Language Pathologists
Direct hire through MSAD 49 with benefits per the negotiated agreement. MSAD 49 is seeking two speech and language pathologists to support our identified special education students with speech and language needs. Both positions are full time. Both positions are part of the teachers bargaining unit with benefits per the negotiated agreement. Special education case management experience is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to completing evaluations, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support student progress, reporting on student progress at meetings, developing reasonably calculated goals to support student progress, writing IEPs and other special education paperwork in compliance with Maine Unified Special Education Regulations, providing consultation to regular and special education teachers around the communication needs of students, and developing and implementing communication plans. Ability to bill MaineCare and use multiple databases to access and update student information is required.
