We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered, and empathetic Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus teacher to join our strong math team for the 2025–2026 academic year and beyond. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan instruction using approved curriculum, data, and subject matter expertise to meet the diverse needs of all students
  • Establish clear expectations, routines, and a respectful, safe, and student-centered environment
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and support individual learning goals
  • Set ambitious academic goals and utilize data to measure progress, inform instruction, and provide timely feedback to students and families
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support overall school and district effectiveness
  • Engage in continuous professional reflection and growth to enhance instructional practices
  • Serve as a leader in advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in classrooms, curriculum, and school culture
  • Uphold professionalism, effective communication, and leadership as integral parts of your teaching practice

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Appropriate Maine DOE certification (or ability to obtain)
  • U.S. citizenship, residency, or work authorization

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience

Terms of Employment: Salary and work year will be established by the School Board and reflected in the collective bargaining agreement.

Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with RSU 21 School Board policy GCOA: Evaluation of Certified Staff Members.
