1-Year Teacher Positions

Kindergarten Teacher

Grade 2 Teacher

Grade 5 Teacher

The Brewer School Department is accepting applications for three 1-year positions for the 2025-2026 school year: 1-year Kindergarten Teacher position, 1-year Grade 2 Teacher position, and 1-year Grade 5 Teacher position.

Ideal candidates for these positions will demonstrate the following abilities and experiences:

• Certified to teach elementary education (020 Endorsement) in Maine and CHRC approval
• Candidates for Grades K and 2 may hold an 020 or 029 Endorsement
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
• Ability to work with and contribute to a collaborative team
• Demonstrate ability to plan and instruct using interdisciplinary units and technology
• Strong classroom management skills a must
• A solid understanding of the social, emotional and academic needs of students at this grade level
• Knowledge or experience in teaching within a proficiency based model is preferred
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate technology in the classroom
• Ability to pass background check
