English Instructor - part/time

Seeking a part-time English Instructor. We are looking for a certified English Language Arts teacher (Adult Ed or 9-12 certification). Position includes day and some evening hours. Position is based in Naples but could include some regular hours in Fryeburg. Flexible start date between July 1 and August 25, 2025.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develops and delivers curriculum from basic literacy level through high school completion and college preparation level
• Works collaboratively with staff and other teachers to provide optimal learning experience for learners with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Provides instruction in English, and possibly other content areas with appropriate qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Possesses or can demonstrate eligibility for a Maine teaching certificatte (100 English Language Arts, Adult Ed or 9-12)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience teaching academic subjects to adult learners
• Familiarity with content standards and proficiency-based instruction
• Knowledge of modern office technology and software, including learning management systems and student information systems
• Self-driven, positive, creative, systems thinker, and passionate about education

Schedule:  Up to 20 hours per week, 46 weeks

Compensation: $31/hour
