Regional School Unit 48 is seeking a purpose-driven leader to serve as Director of Adult Education for our Adult & Community Education program. Central Lincoln County Adult Education serves the towns of Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Jefferson, Newcastle, Nobleboro and South Bristol. This part-time administrative position (0.7 FTE, 182 days per year) oversees adult learning opportunities including high school completion, college and workforce preparation, and personal enrichment. This is a small program and the director will be expected to contribute to daily tasks including processing registrations, setting up classes, etc. Some evening hours are expected. The ideal candidate ideally will not only have experience working with internal and external community groups to build partnerships.

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Education, Adult Education or a related field 
• Maine Adult & Community Ed Director (066) certification, or conditional eligible
• 3+ years of teaching experience and proven program leadership
• Experience with grant writing, budgeting, and workforce or community engagement
• Experience working with adult learners or within adult education
