SUN / Special Education Teacher

The Conners Emerson School has an opening for a Special Education Teacher in our Students with Unique Needs (SUN) room. Our specialized SUN program will provide one-to-one support to a small cohort of students with cognitive and developmental disabilities such as autism. 

This position requires Maine DOE Certificate 282 and current Maine Department of Education CHRC (fingerprinting). Experience working with SUN students is preferred. Salary range is $49,000 - $93,000, depending on experience.

Conners Emerson School is a K-8 Blue Ribbon Award-winning School (2004 & 2017) with approximately 325 students. The school is located in Bar Harbor, right in the heart of MDI, surrounded by Acadia National Park.
