RSU 64 is accepting applications for a Physical Education Teacher at Central Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Central Middle School serves students in grades 6 through 8 who reside in Bradford, Corinth, Kenduskeag, Hudson and Stetson, Maine.
RSU 64 seeks a unique and creative individual to join our team in an effort to enhance our previously initiated efforts at outdoor-based physical education. Instruction also includes the more traditional sports activities and learning, but we are a community that values the Maine outdoors and appreciates the diversity of opportunities it affords those of us fortunate enough to live in our great state.
The ideal candidate will be certified by the State of Maine (510 & 515) and be knowledgeable about aspects of sport and recreation to include the pursuit of lifelong health and fitness. All candidates should be able to plan and collaborate with peers, have knowledge of and be able to apply the principles of standards based learning, be able to integrate technology into instruction, and work to fulfill the mission and vision of Central Middle School. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate knowledge and experience in outdoor recreation/education, middle level education, team building, and lifelong health and fitness.
This position is currently a full time teaching position that may be combined with other responsibilities depending upon the experience and skill set of the preferred candidate.
