Art Teacher
RSU 1 is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Art Teacher (Grades 6-8) at Bath Middle School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate must, above all else, have a positive attitude and be excited to work with a highly-effective group of educators and a diverse student body. Candidates must also be able to effectively utilize technology in the classroom.
Qualifications:
? Support all students in their development of artistic expression in a variety of mediums
? Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
? Demonstrate exceptional classroom management skills
? Have a strong foundation in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, pottery, and digital art
? Lesson plan in adherence to state art standards
? Assess creative work fairly and provide constructive feedback
? Accommodate and teach students with IEPs, 504 plans, and diverse learner needs.
Certification:
? Visual Arts Teaching Certificate, K-12 (620)
? Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
