Special Education Academic Evaluator/Team Leader

District Wide Grades K-12

This non-teaching team leader position provides opportunities for professional growth and development as you complete K-12 student evaluations, paperwork support and guidance through collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents.

Qualifications:

• BS or BA (Master’s degree preferred)
• At least three years’ experience in special education or equivalent
• 282 or 030 Maine Certification

 Reports to:

• Director and Assistant Director of Special Services 

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in completing academic achievement testing and classroom observations for students grades K-12
• Attend Team Leader Meetings
• Support and consult with special education teachers
• Support teams for transition of 6^th to 7th grade and 8^th to 9^th grade
• Assist in professional development for teachers and Ed Tech’s
• Other duties as assigned by Administrators

Terms of Employment:

• Salary, length of year and benefits per Teacher’s contract with stipend
