School Counselor

Lake Region Middle School - Begins - 2026-27 School year

Qualifications: 

• Master's Degree in School Counseling and 075 Certification
• Previous experience - preferred but not required
• Evidence of initiative and self-direction, especially in communicating with students and families
• Ability to provide support to Building Administration

Counselors will provide the following direct student services:

• Develop and implement school counseling core curriculum through instruction and group activities
• Individual student planning via assessment and advisement
• Responsive counseling and crisis services for individual, small-group, classroom, cohort, and school-wide

Counselors will provide the following indirect student services:

• Consultation in which the counselor shares strategies supporting student achievement with parents, teachers, other educators, and community organizations
• Collaboration with other educators, parents, and the community to support student achievement
• Referrals that support students and families to school or community resources for additional assistance and information
