Full-Time  Bus Drivers

Position Goal:
To provide safe and effective transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curricular and co-curricular program. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Valid State of Maine School Bus Operators License -We offer a free in-house training program, and you get paid while you train! ($20.47-$23.39/hour)
  • Certified by the district's physician as being in the physical condition necessary to carry out bus driving duties
  • Satisfactory driving record
Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) through the Maine Department of Education. 
                        
Bus Drivers interact with student passengers and must be courteous and helpful and provide a safe supportive environment on the school bus. 
 
Competitive pay based on experience, $23.06-$25.99 per hour  for fully endorsed drivers; $20.47 - $23.39 per hour for training. Includes an excellent benefits package includes 100% MEA Choice Plan BC/BS single group insurance coverage, 100% single dental insurance, paid holidays, sick, personal and vacation time.
