Anticipated Elementary ACE Teacher (formerly Gifted & Talented)

Beginning September for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Full time/40hr

The successful candidate will join a dynamic K-12 team of professional educators specializing in designing and delivering targeted instruction and support services to identified ACE students (formerly Gifted & Talented).

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and welcome continuing skill development within:

• Supporting colleagues, parents, and students involved in the program nomination and identification process for both academics and the visual and performing arts.
• Diagnostic assessment – formal and informal methods and strategies.
• Creatively including colleagues, parents, and students in crafting and implementing

Individual Learning Plans (ILP) designed to meet identified learning needs.

• A deep appreciation for students’ individual learning characteristics and how they inform differentiated approaches to teaching and learning.
• Demonstrated abilities to deliver instruction in individualized and small group models.
• Designing learning opportunities that enable students to identify and appreciate their preferred approaches to learning, and challenging students to expand on them. 
• Welcoming and embracing on-going opportunities for professional development and providing consultation and hands-on support for all members of the school community. 

Qualifications: Maine certification 690 required.
