-Head Cook-
MSAD #41 is seeking to add a Head Cook to join our team. This position will provide students with nutritious, well-balanced meals in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner while supervising kitchen operations to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and fostering a positive work environment. We are profoundly focused on the needs of our students and communities in Milo, Brownville Junction, and Lagrange, Maine. This is a full-time position that will begin July 1, 2025.
A successful candidate will:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid State of Maine criminal history record check (CHRC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Essential Functions:
The Head Cook will plan and oversee the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals that meet state and federal nutritional guidelines, adhere to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and district policies, engage with students to provide an inviting atmosphere, manage inventory, complete required paperwork, and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Food Service Director.
