Educational Technician I

South School - Rockland, ME

Regional School Unit 13 is looking for an Education Technician to work 1:1 with a student to provide daily support.  This position will end at the close of school in June 2024.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic professional team of professionals specializing in designing and delivering targeted instruction to students in grades 9-12 in Rockland, Maine.  

Pay starts at $15.20 per hour.

7 hours/day, 35 hours/week, school year position.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision care. 

Qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent.

Required:  Maine Criminal History Records Check

 The successful candidate will expand their experience and skills within:

  • Diagnostic assessment – formal and informal methods and strategies.
  • Assisting teachers in the progress monitoring of students’ educational growth & development.
  • Supported capabilities to deliver instruction in individualized, small group, and classroom-based (push-in) support models.
  • Opportunities to gain experience in designing, structuring, and delivering appropriate educational activities based upon students’ identified learning needs.
  • On-going opportunities for professional development.
